Question: What do
I do to handle NULL values in SQL*Plus? I have a
sqlplus script and it is displaying ####### for a null
valued column. What do I do to handle NULL display in
SQL*Plus?
Answer: There are two solutions.
The first is to use the sqlplus "set null" command:
set null '0'
The better solution is to change the value in the SQL
select to transform the NULL value using the NVL clause:
select
nvl(mycol,0)
from
mytab;
This will transform all NULL values to a zero value.
