Login into Goldengate with GGSCI
Having created the Oracle GoldenGate
database user, assigned system and object privileges, it's
time now to test the different login methods to the database
from GGSCI using the DBLOGIN command.
GGSCI (edmr1s35) 1> dblogin userid
ggs_admin, password oracle
Successfully logged into database.
GGSCI (edmr1s35) 1> dblogin userid
ggs_admin
Password:
Successfully logged into database.
GGSCI (edmr1s35) 5> dblogin userid
ggs_admin@s1t2, password oracle
Successfully logged into database.
GGSCI (edmr1s35) 6> dblogin userid
ggs_admin, password AACAAAAAAAAAAAGAIFAAUDVHCFUGFIYF,
encryptkey default
Successfully logged into database.
Database login to MS SQL Server database
requires configuring an ODBC data source, then issuing the
DBLOGIN GGSCI command using the ODBC data source name.
Figure 2-11 and 2-12 show ODBC configuration options,
followed by database login from Oracle GoldenGate. The
username GGS_ADMIN requires grant sysadmin to Server
role.

From within GGSCI, database related
commands connect to the database to perform each command.
Below are examples of GGSCI commands that access the
