Oracle jobs are back, and the
Oracle Corporation 2015 salary
survey shows the average DBA salary at $97,000 per year.
As a general guideline, a
well-qualified Oracle professional (master degree) will
earn age times three, so a
30 year old Oracle professional can expect, on average, at least $90,000 per
year.
Many Oracle-related jobs also made this 2015 survey on
the
best jobs in America.

Note that all of the jobs require at least a bachelors
degree, and many of the top jobs require terminal degrees.
The hot degrees for getting an Oracle job are degrees
from competitive 4 years universities in Engineering and Business
Administration with an Information Systems concentration. The best
university programs for aspiring Oracle DBAs are
AACSB accredited business schools. Note that the AACSB is the only
recognized body for accrediting collegiate business schools.
Many of
the top jobs require an MBA with a concentration in Information Systems,
like the IT project Manager, Software project manager and IT Business
Analyst, and several jobs for MBA's with IT concentrations like IT security
analyst and software developer.
Oracle jobs look very
appealing with salaries that rival engineers and other professionals, with
starting salaries as high as $85,000 with senior Oracle DBAs commonly
earning over $130,000 per year, and Oracle
superstars
earning over a quarter million dollars a year.
