Open tryouts for Oracle Openworld 2008!
I've been selected to speak at many
Oracle OpenWorld conferences, and you just can't beat OOW for the
sheer energy and exchange of technical information.
Traditionally, Oracle Corporation chooses their own internal
employees for most session, and only allots a small number to the
user groups, who recommend the top sessions from their conferences.
Speaking at Oracle OpenWorld is the highest honor, a great way to
get exposure and share knowledge with thousands of your peers.
However, in 2008 we see a new model whereby 28 seats are reserved
for voting on Oracle Mix.
"New! Want to present your own session at Oracle OpenWorld
2008? Or suggest a topic for someone else to present?
Here's how. Complete the fields with a relevant subject you
would like to present or see presented at this year's Oracle
OpenWorld 2008 conference.
Your peers will vote on the topics they are most interested
in. The top sessions will be selected for participation in this
year's event. Deadline to submit is Friday, June 13th. Deadline
on voting is June 24th.
If you get a paper accepted, student demand will determine your
room placement, with the top sessions being scheduled in the coveted
Moscone 100 rooms which hold over 500 seats. Sessions with
poor sign-ups are sometimes relegated to the netherworld of the
outlying hotels, so it's all quite democratic.
Good Luck!
