Oracle Release QBQL and SQL*Repository
February 14, 2006
Mark Rittman

From the new OTN Performance Center: "Two new tools have been recently introduced for analyzing Oracle SQL performance: QBQL (pronounced "cubicle") and SQL*Repository. QBQL is an intuitive graphical front-end to existing server-side performance dictionary views, and SQL*Repository is a powerful framework to automate the comparison of execution plans and runtime statistics for the same application across Oracle Database releases. SQL*Repository has proven to be useful in migrating applications on the Oracle Database from the Rule-Based to the Cost-Based Optimizer. More..."

Sounds interesting, although the "More.." link leads to a PDF about the new tools that doesn't say where you can download them from. Anyone know any more about this?

Update :

You can download the new tools by following the instructions on MOSC note 271064.1. Thanks to Mike R., Amihay, Mike Barrs and Michael Freeman for spotting the instructions in the PDF.
